    This study researches the tools necessary to assist the construction industry to attracting top individuals and helping companies structure internal programs to retain them.

    Engineering and construction companies need to address certain factors when developing employee recruitment and retention policies for a human resource best practices program. These factors are as follows:

    • Ensure a positive relationship between employees and their direct supervisors and/or upper management
    • Provide the opportunities to remain marketable by assisting them in improving their skills and abilities through continuing training and education
