Build Your Future Coordinator

NCCER has an immediate opening for a Build Your Future Coordinator. This individual coordinates daily activities and supports partnerships for the Build Your Future initiative. This includes, but is not limited to, designing and developing promotional materials and documents to support the BYF mission, goals and initiatives. The coordinator manages BYF materials through inventory tracking, coordinating event logistics and shipping, fulfilling material orders, performing website updates and maintaining presentation materials. The coordinator also manages BYF’s social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter and YouTube), monitors BYF’s Career Center site and assists with BYF’s recruitment initiatives through Symplicity software.

The position requires the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a detail-oriented and deadline-driven environment. Experience and/or education in marketing, graphic design or related fields is desirable. A strong background in social media is also preferred. Excellent organizational, oral and written communication and project management skills are required.

Software skills needed include Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite 6 (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign), contact management and desktop publishing software, website design and/or html knowledge. Experience using Textpattern is preferred, but not required.

Workforce Development Manager

NCCER has an immediate opening for a Workforce Development Manager. The ideal candidate will be a people and service-oriented individual with demonstrated public speaking abilities and experience. The position requires a self-starter with experience handling multiple duties and deadlines, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and effectively with all levels of executives, management and staff. The ability to research and organize statistical and anecdotal data and experience managing and preparing schedules, budgets and reports are required. A Bachelor’s Degree and the ability to travel are also required.

Major duties of this position include:

  • Assisting and collaborating with the department director and team in managing and supporting operational plans, projects, staff, budget, schedules and reports;
  • Acting as a liaison to sponsors, committees and industry to promote NCCER initiatives;
  • Researching and synthesizing workforce-related statistics and information for use in presentations and other documents.
