Position Descriptions: 

Administrative Assistant

NCCER has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant. This individual provides administrative support to the Program Services Department, including, but not limited to:

  • Compiles departmental monthly reports and statistics
  • Maintains accurate contact management information 
  • Maintain client network and departmental website updates
  • Provides departmental administrative support
  • Provides customer service support
  • Provides assessment order support
  • Provides internet research support
  • In collaboration with Executive Assistant, coordinates travel for Program Services department
  • Coordinates event planning for committee meetings and other events as necessary
  • Performs back up reception duty as required

Qualifications:

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills, be detail oriented, organized and professional with the ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities, and meet deadlines
  • General clerical and excellent telephone skills are a must
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of executives, management and staff is essential
  • Dependable in attendance and performance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with meeting planning and committee work is a plus
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus

Registry Assistant

NCCER has an immediate opening for a Registry Assistant. This individual provides support to the Credentialing and Compliance Services Department, including, but not limited to:

  • Processes electronic assessment files
  • Processes hard copy and electronic module completion record forms
  • Processes hard copy and electronic performance verification tasks records
  • Compiles bi-monthly report for billing of performance verification tasks
  • Keeping inventory of NCCER library by replenishing titles, ordering new books when available and ensuring copies of all books and materials are available in-house
  • Accurate record keeping and filing –attention to detail
  • Triage telephone calls and process requests efficiently
  • Prints/sorts/prepares all processed credentials for mailing
  • Communicates regularly with sponsors via telephone and email
  • Provide customer service phone support & Tier 1 Technical support to callers
  • Able to navigate multiple programs and utilize internet to help customers with online assistance and problem solving requests
  • Provides telephone support to Receptionist as needed

Qualifications:

  • A self-starter with demonstrated experience handling multiple duties and deadlines is required
  • Must be detail oriented and be able to learn new tasks quickly
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required
  • Accurate data entry skills required
  • Typing skills should be at least 40 correct words per minute
  • The ability to work independently and to work effectively with all levels of executives, management and staff is essential
  • Dependable in attendance and performance

Workforce Development Manager

NCCER has an immediate opening for a Workforce Development Manager. The ideal candidate will be a people and service-oriented individual with demonstrated public speaking abilities and experience. The position requires a self-starter with experience handling multiple duties and deadlines, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and effectively with all levels of executives, management and staff. The ability to research and organize statistical and anecdotal data and experience managing and preparing schedules, budgets and reports are required. A Bachelor’s Degree and the ability to travel are also required.

Major duties of this position include:

  • Assisting and collaborating with the department director and team in managing and supporting operational plans, projects, staff, budget, schedules and reports;
  • Acting as a liaison to sponsors, committees and industry to promote NCCER initiatives;
  • Researching and synthesizing workforce-related statistics and information for use in presentations and other documents.
