Your Role in the Green Environment
Building a Green-Collar Workforce
NCCER has partnered with the Sustainable Facilities and Infrastructure Research Team of the Myers-Lawson School of Construction at Virginia Tech University to create green training for the construction industry.
Your Role in the Green Environment brings together the expertise of industry and higher education in defining a topic of growing international importance: green building.
Geared to entry-level craft professionals, or to anyone wishing to learn more about green building, this full-color book provides fundamental instruction in the green environment, green construction practices, and green building rating systems.
Presented in easy-to-understand terms and illustrations, Your Role in the Green Environment will better prepare learners to make decisions regarding their personal impact on the environment and will make them more aware of how to lessen their impact in the built environment.
Students successfully completing Your Role in the Green Environment through an NCCER Accredited Training Sponsor will earn industry-recognized credentials through the NCCER National Registry. In addition, the green module has been approved by USGBC for 15 hours of continuing education to maintain LEED credentials under the Green Building Certification Institute Credentialing Maintenance Program.
NCCER has been recognized as a U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Education Provider. NCCER abides by USGBC-established operational and educational criteria and is subject to annual reviews and audits for quality assurance.
