National Center for Construction Education & Research
"While there are no easy answers to the worker shortage plaguing our industry, we believe NCCER offers one part of the solution: high-quality training for more than 40 skilled crafts. It’s something we’ve specialized in for almost 30 years, and it’s more relevant than ever.
Moving forward, our goal is to make skilled craft training more accessible to people of all backgrounds across the country. To do that, we’ll need your assistance with outreach and education as well as your financial support. By working together, we can make a difference in our industry and in the lives of individuals and their families.
Please join us in preparing our industry for the work of today and the craft professionals of tomorrow."
Thank you, Boyd Worsham, President and CEO

The U.S. construction industry is facing a crisis concerning a shortage of craft professionals needed to fill current and future jobs.
A variety of factors influence this shortage, including a lack of easily accessible entry-level jobs, an aging workforce, negative stigmas about craft careers and inconsistent training programs. This leads to an increased cost to owners and consumers as well as decreased contractors’ profits. To learn more, click the button below to download NCCER's Case for Support.
