In an effort to provide students and craft professionals with industry-recognized credentials and assure national portability of skills, NCCER maintains a credentialing and certification system through its Registry. This online database tracks both training and/or assessments for its participants.
Training
For training, the NCCER Registry System provides transcripts, certificates and wallet cards to students who successfully complete NCCER training through an NCCER Accredited Training Sponsor. A transcript, certificate and an initial wallet card are granted when a trainee completes Core or any other full level of a craft. These industry credentials allow participants to provide easy verification of training for current or potential employers. Any individual may earn an NCCER training credential by passing the applicable module tests and performance profiles.
Assessments
For assessments, the NCCER Registry System provides verification of an individual's qualifications when the individual has successfully completed the written assessment, known as knowledge verified, or performance verification, known performance verified; for a craft through an Accredited Assessment Center. Individuals will receive a transcript, certificate and an initial wallet card for successful completion of a written assessment. Individuals who successfully complete a performance verification will receive a transcript and wallet card. For successful completion of both the written assessment and the corresponding performance verification, individuals will receive a Certified certificate and Certified wallet card.
