Gainesville, Fla. — The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) is now recognized by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) as an eligible accrediting body for institutions to become providers of the NABCEP Entry Level Exam.

Thanks to this recognition, NCCER Accredited Training Sponsors that use NCCER’s Introduction to Solar Photovoltaics as part of their entry level PV training program will be subject to a fast‐tracked approval process by NABCEP to become PV Entry Level Exam Providers once they submit a completed application.

Introduction to Solar Photovoltaics addresses NABCEP’s ten PV Entry Level Learning Objectives and was produced utilizing a team of subject matter experts (SMEs) with vast knowledge of both residential and commercial PV systems.

NCCER’s Introduction to Solar Photovoltaics is now available for purchase in both Trainee Guide and Annotated Instructor’s Guide formats. A larger Solar Photovoltaic Systems Installer curriculum, which includes Introduction to Solar Photovoltaics and four additional modules, will be published in the summer of 2011.

Students and craft professionals successfully completing curriculum through an NCCER Accredited Training Sponsor earn portable, industry‐recognized credentials that are verifiable through NCCER’s Automated National Registry.
