Gainesville, Fla. —   NCCER is looking for striking photography of real-life construction scenes from interesting or dramatic projects. The purpose is to raise awareness of construction as a fulfilling career path with equal and rich opportunities for all.

Winning and selected photos may be used in NCCER curricula and related marketing materials, as well as in any electronic formats.

“The strength of NCCER’s materials is based on the tremendous amount of dedication and the knowledge of our subject matter experts,” says NCCER Production Manager, Tim Davis. “Good photography from industry professionals will further help produce the most authentic and helpful construction curricula available.”

Images will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit. The judges are a panel of NCCER staff members familiar with construction practices, safety and photography.

Deadline for summer entries will be August 15, 2011. For information on submission guidelines, safety requirements and eligibility, please visit photocontest.
