Gainesville, Fla.— After nearly 15 years of tremendous success, we are thrilled to be taking the Build Your Future campaign to a new level in support of the Choose Construction Initiative (CCI). The campaign will now include best practices for recruiting potential craft professionals that can be implemented at local levels nationwide to change the perception of the construction industry and showcase construction careers as preferred professions. 

“Over the years, the Build Your Future campaign has provided millions of young people with valuable information about the career opportunities our industry offers,” said Don Whyte, President of NCCER. “NCCER is pleased to offer this valuable resource to support CCI in addressing the most critical issue facing our industry as we recover—the skilled workforce shortage.” 

Build Your Future is currently building relationships with motorsports organizations, the PGA and other exciting organizations to create pilot programs that can be effectively implemented locally, regionally or nationally.    

“We are testing the waters and doing the preliminary work so the construction industry has solid models to follow in order to recruit the best and brightest,” stated Diane Greene, executive director of the Build Your Future campaign. “The response we have had so far has been extremely positive and very encouraging. I am excited to be part of something that will connect people with opportunities that will ultimately change their lives.” 

The Build Your Future campaign has been enhanced with a new look and feel to instill the pride that comes with building the future of America. A new redesigned website is also under construction and will provide a user-friendly job search function.
