The Pipeline Electrical and Instrumentation curriculum provides basic, intermediate, and advanced training to safely inspect, operate, and maintain electrical components and instrumentation on pipelines. Level 1 is comprised of two volumes and includes key content such as: E&I safety; trade math; electrical theory; meters and test equipment; control/auxiliary systems and process theory; transformers; switchgear, and SCADA communications. Level 2 includes covered task training for operational qualifications.

Completion of this career pathway, including Core, Introduction to the Pipeline Industry, Pipeline Electrical & Instrumentation Level 1 (Volume 1 and Volume 2), and Pipeline Electrical & Instrumentation Level 2, leads to an NCCER Pipeline Electrical and Instrumentation Technician credential.
