BCSP and NCCER Partnership Strengthens Construction Safety and Career Pathways
The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) and the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) have utilized their strategic partnership to highlight certification pathways between the two organizations and elevate safety standards across the construction industry.
BCSP and NCCER have partnered to connect BCSP’s safety credentialing expertise with NCCER’s workforce development programs. NCCER’s leadership programs — like its Construction Foreman Certification Program — directly address the knowledge and skills in BCSP’s certification exam blueprints.
NCCER’s Field Safety curriculum aligns with the blueprint topics for BCSP’s Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC) certification, while its Safety Technology curriculum aligns with the blueprint topics for BCSP’s Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification.
Learners who complete these NCCER programs are on a clear pathway to the STSC and CHST, accelerating their career advancement while ensuring industry-wide consistency in safety practices. BCSP and NCCER have also partnered to collaborate on research related to construction safety.
Together, BCSP and NCCER are building a stronger, safer future for the construction workforce. By fostering career growth at every stage, enhancing jobsite safety, and preparing teams for the evolving demands of modern construction, this collaboration is paving the way for the next generation of safety leaders.
