NCCER Earns Top Nonprofit Ratings for Transparency and Accountability

04/27/2026 Press Release

Gainesville, Fla. (April 2026) — The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) has earned recognitions for nonprofit transparency and accountability from two of the nation’s leading charity evaluators: a Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar (Candid) and a Four‑Star Rating from Charity Navigator.

The GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency is the highest level of recognition available on the Candid platform and is awarded to only the top 15% of nonprofits nationwide. The designation reflects NCCER’s commitment to demonstrating accountability by sharing measurable and goal‑focused information with the public.

In addition, NCCER recently received Charity Navigator’s highest possible four‑star rating, signifying exemplary performance across key areas such as financial health, governance and organizational transparency. Charity Navigator’s ratings are widely used by donors, foundations and philanthropic institutions to assess nonprofit effectiveness and stewardship.

“Earning these ratings for the first time is a meaningful milestone for NCCER and a reflection of the standards we hold ourselves to every day,” said Boyd Worsham, president and CEO of NCCER. “Our mission to improve people’s lives for a lifetime through construction education is a responsibility bigger than any one organization. This makes the stewardship of our partners’ trust and investment paramount. Every dollar we receive comes with a responsibility to use it wisely and show the impact it’s driving. We are always clear about where resources go and what results they produce. Transparency and accountability are how we ensure our work is making a real difference, and how we build trust with our donors and partners.”

Together, the Platinum Seal of Transparency and four‑star rating place NCCER among a select group of nonprofits nationally recognized for openness, sound management practices and results‑driven operations. The recognitions underscore the organization’s ongoing commitment to responsible stewardship of funds and impactful workforce development solutions.
