NCCER in the News: Meta, ABC Form Partnership to Launch Academy to Train and Create Jobs for Construction Craft Professionals

06/10/2026 NCCER in the News

Meta Platforms Inc. and Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) have announced a partnership to educate and provide construction-ready career pathways for thousands of data center construction technicians. Kicking off in Indiana, Louisiana, Ohio and Texas as 2026 pilot locations, this initiative marks a meaningful step toward meeting the growing nationwide demand for skilled trade workers.

America’s Workforce Academy (AWA) is powered by an initial $115 million first-year investment in the next generation of construction professionals. The cost-free program supports all participants while they learn and guarantees a job offer with contractors working on Meta projects.

Through this program, graduates will earn an industry-recognized NCCER credential designed to travel with the worker across employers and industry sectors for a successful, long-term career.
