NCCER Introduces Online Pipeline Covered Task Training Courses

The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) is pleased to announce the addition of four new online Pipeline covered task training courses to our Learning Management System (LMS). Approximately twenty additional courses will be released each quarter until the full Pipeline covered task training program is online.

Pipeline covered task training courses now available via the NCCER Store:

  • Abnormal Operating Conditions – Field & Gas (AOCFG-17)
  • Locate Line (CT14_1-17)
  • Visually Inspect Pipe and Pipe Components Prior to Installation (CT38_1-17)
  • Troubleshoot Rectifier (CT4_1-17)

The Pipeline covered task training courses provide interactive training that covers specific tasks in preparation for the Operator Qualifications testing. The courses are self-paced with some review quiz questions and are scored as complete or incomplete. Each covered task training course is available at introductory rate of $7.50 per person per course.

The Pipeline covered task training courses are available 24 hours a day and can be completed on the trainee’s schedule. If a trainee starts a course, they can resume that course at any time to help keep trainees on track and help with review, as needed.

Trainees can self-enroll in a Pipeline course via the NCCER Store or Accredited Training Sponsor (ATS) organizations can directly assign Pipeline training courses to trainees. More information on the steps for ATSs are here.

Though the training is open to all, testing must be completed under an NCCER Accredited Training Sponsor or Training Unit. It is important to know this training does not provide Operator Qualifications, but it is beneficial for passing the specific covered tasks.

The Pipeline course availability is in partnership with ISNetworld.
